Good News for Syven: Surgery, Training & Adoption Update
We have some really good news to share about Syven.
She recently visited a specialist to have her elbow evaluated, and we found out that her leg can be saved.
That’s a huge update for Syven and gives us a much clearer path forward with her medical care.
What Comes Next for Syven
Syven will be moving forward with surgery, and AARF will be helping raise funds for the procedure.

For now, Syven has been cleared for general activity, which means we’re able to continue working on her training while we wait for a surgery date.
That gives us a good opportunity to keep building her foundation before she has to take some downtime for recovery.
After surgery, Syven is expected to have about a six-week healing period.
Continuing Syven’s Training
In the meantime, we’re continuing to work on Syven’s obedience, including her place command.
She has already made a lot of progress during her time with us, and being cleared for general activity allows us to keep working on the skills that will help her transition more smoothly into a future home.
The goal during this period is to keep her active within the limits she’s been given while continuing to improve communication, structure, and reliability with her training.
Syven Is Still Looking for a Home
Syven will still be available for adoption, and we’d love to find the right home for her while we continue working through her medical and training journey.
