Battle Pigs Episode 5: A Different Schedule, Same Chaos

Some days go exactly as planned.

This wasn’t one of those days 😂

In this episode of Battle Pigs, Ivy was off school which completely changed up our normal Monday routine. Usually Mondays involve training at the house, school runs, and keeping the day structured a certain way. But with the schedule flipped around, we loaded up and headed down to the Primal Canine facility with Ed to get some work in with the pigs.

And honestly… that’s usually when the best stuff happens.

Oso Did Oso Things

If you know Oso, then you already know how this goes.

He came out HOT, gave everything he had early, and pretty much decided halfway through the day that he was retired 😂

That’s the funny part about high-drive dogs like Oso. They’ll go so hard in the beginning that sometimes they completely gas themselves out before the day is even over.

But that energy and personality is exactly what makes him who he is.

What We Worked On

Even with Oso tapping out early, we still packed a lot into the day:

  • Training sessions

  • Structured walks

  • Facility work

  • Extra filming content

  • Bite work reps

  • Mecha training to finish the day

The episode itself is a little shorter than usual because things got hectic behind the scenes, but we still wanted to show the reality of these days.

Not every session is perfectly organized.
Not every day goes according to plan.

Sometimes you just adapt and keep moving.

That’s a huge part of training dogs and honestly life in general.

Mecha Closed The Day Strong

To finish out the episode, we broke down some bite work with Mecha.

Mecha continues making steady progress every session. He’s becoming more confident, more engaged, and more balanced every time we work him. Seeing that progression little by little has been one of the coolest parts of filming these episodes.

The goal with Battle Pigs has always been to show the real day-to-day process:
the good sessions, the chaotic moments, the adjustments, the wins, and everything in between.
